A Battle ...

8 minutes of amazingness ...

You Tube Buffalo, Lion & Crocodile Video

My friend Sandy sent me the link and she included a note to me saying that in addition to being an incredible clip of wildlife, it's a neat spiritual lesson whereby the lions represent Satan, the calf a new or weak Christian, (the crocodile the world) and the buffalo herd the mature Christians ...

Enjoy!

Praises and Glory!!

I am home and cuddled in bed with my ice pack, phone with e.mail & text message, TV control (but no volume), laptop, and Nintendo ds lite with brain age 2 installed :) I'm quite groggy and slow and typing this is not as simple as usual between my half-mast eyelids.

Drugs, many and lots were definitely an effective approach. I had two Lozaprams (sedatives) and two Vicodins (pain meds) before the procedure which allowed me to be slow, easy, flexible, and willing to move forward. The procedure it self was actually worse than how bad I thought it would be from the video. It took quite a bit of prodding, twisting, and pulling to get enough breast tissue to put in the squeezer for its hour plus of e.rays and needle extractions. It was unfortunate that the spot did not come out so they started over with a new incision, new x-rays, and new needle extractions, and they felt that the 2nd attempt was successful. The wrap up included another great set of mammograms and wa-la, the afternoon was finally over :)

It was pretty awful, but not nearly as bad as it could have been. I didn't ever shed a tear nor come close to letting one escape ... the laying still part on a flay surface was hard on my neck, face and jaws. The vicodin took away the pain of the squeeze and injections of lidocaine took away the pain of the injections. On a scale of 1 to 10, it would be an 8 without drugs and a great 3 with :)

I am so thankful that our Father has heard and responded to all the wonderful prayers of my loving brothers and sisters in Christ. Please know he hears, please know he cares, and please know He is blessed by your participation in His work!! You are the greatest friends around!

Hopefully we'll hear in a few days that all is good and there are no worrisome or cancerous tissues and we can go on back to life ... I've been pondering Pastor John's message Sunday that 100 years ago we all lived to an average life of 47 ...I'm feeling like this gift of medical miracles and longer survival must have been given so that we can return to Him all the rest of the days of our lives. Exciting!

Many, many, many thank yous to Dave for being the best chauffer and supporter, Nancy for cookies yesterday and dessert today, Lori for the most awesome lasagna in the entire world with the fixins of great salad and bread, to Sandy for sittin' at my side as I type this keeping me iced up and entertained, and to the many, many, many of you who have typed a message on my blog or e.mail, called, and have raised my and this procedure before our Father many, many times. Love you all! Sherrie

You'll love this video of two darling boys ... truly you will...
