The headline story of 9news.com this morning:
...... More snow expected in metro area, travel difficult
.
....."9NEWS Meteorologist Nick O’Kelly says most areas can expect 2 to 6 inches of total snow accumulation. Nick says the foothills locations will get hit hard again with totals around 9 to 16 inches. Additionally, he says areas south of Denver along the Palmer Divide, including Castle Rock and Kiowa, can expect 5 to 10 inches. Friday night, Nick says, the sky will gradually clear out with cold temperatures and winds moving in. Temperatures are expected to drop into the single digits in most areas with wind chills below zero. Early snowfalls forced many area schools to close Friday morning."
.
Yeppers, that includes us ~ it's a snow day and our schools are closed. With all the snow we had over the Christmas Break, I guess the kids probably do feel like they "deserve" at least one snow day! Now, where were those snow shovels? (ha ha, just kidding, they're right by the front door since we use them all the time lately!!) It was warm and sunny yesterday with lots of outside play, but the weather changes fast around here...
