Wisdom ...

The Book of Proverbs – Written by King Solomon early in his reign, when he was rich in wisdom and wise living, Proverbs is the wisdom textbook for teaching people how to live godly lives in three key steps: knowledge (information in our minds), progressing to understanding (as we embrace knowledge in our hearts), and finally to wisdom (the application of this understanding to our lives). Many proverbs are written as couplets of contrasting, comparing, or complementary statements.
Proverbs 1:7~ The fear of the LORD [profound reverence and awe toward God]
is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The Book of Ecclesiastes – Written by King Solomon late in his reign, after years of failing to heed his own advice and spiraling downward in life, this is a reflective sermon from the wise king who had lived the early seasons of his life well and the later seasons poorly. Confirming the wisdom he had written decades earlier in Proverbs, as he neared the end of his life Solomon looked back with humility and repentance and wrote Ecclesiastes with the hope of sparing his readers the bitterness of learning through personal experience that everything apart from God is empty, hollow, and meaningless.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14~ Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of every human being.
For God will bring every deed into judgment,
including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.
