The second weekend in October,
Ae extended our camping season just a few days longer
and went to Chatfield State Park on Thursday afternoon.

There was lots of running back-n-forth "to town" as all the campers
fulfilled other commitments related to
work, school, college visits, business meetings, and church.
But in the midst of all the busyness ...
there were great long lake hikes, relaxing marina drinks,
and the 5th race in the chase for the next NASCAR champion ...
.
Jules sure was excited that her #9 car came in first!.
(or should I say her driver, Kasey Kahne ..?? )

Ahhh, the die-hard campers ...
We're so bummed winter is here
and the rigs are put to bed (for real this time)!!
