Today was a sad day for me with many tears through the whole day.
This morning was our first Impressions / JOY Bible Study class at church for the new semester, and the first time that Char was not with us. Deana did an absolutely beautiful job as mistress of ceremonies sharing with us her heart, a letter from Char, and prayers. Pastors John & Dave and Elder Russ were so sensitive, caring, and mature in leading a meaningful time of questions and answers. Betty was precious in also sharing from Char and her own heart. And our small group time was very tender and special.

And although I understand and accept it all and I eagerly await the future with great hope,
for me it still really felt like a funeral with everything but the casket.
And I am very, very sad as I grieve losing our precious Char in her role as our
most incredible, gifted, awesome teacher of God's Truth and Love.

there is so much love in life to be chosen ... blessed is the life lived in love ...
At some point in her young adult life, Char realized that all the "stuff" of this universe had to come from somewhere, that a creator was behind the creation, that this God was personal and caring, that He had revealed Himself to humanity through the Holy Scriptures, that God loves and is love, and that He designed each of us uniquely with a special plan and purpose.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." John 3:16-17
And in her belief, God replaced Char's heart of stone with a heart of love and she has walked in her purpose of teaching about Him, about love, and about living life abundantly. Her messages were filled with callings of acceptance, relationship, compassion, humility, gentleness, forgiveness, and sacrifice. She calls us to be the women that God designed us to be ~ to be women of love.
My life is so blessed to be lived in truth and love, with God's tender compassion for all who come across my path. Paul & Char have always taught us about this abundant love that God has for us and that we in turn can be filled with to love and serve others.
Do you have true peace? Do you have true love? Are you ready to find them both through accepting God's gift of forgiveness and reconciliation to Him through the free gift of His son who died on the cross? Jesus is the bridge from our selfishness, anger, and bitterness to God's glory and love. If you haven't yet walked across this bridge into the light of love, perhaps now is the time.
"In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:10
