It really is the "first" day of Fall

Sean's first day of 5th grade was July 9th. Trey started 8th grade August 14th. Drew began his freshman year at Metro State majoring in business management August 20th. Sean went off-track for three weeks beginning August 20th. Ryan's sophomore year at CU began August 27th with a big push for grades to earn admittance to the college of engineering. Sean started back on-track September 11th (today :) ... Ryan's girlfriend Kelli began her junior year at CU last month majoring in accounting and Drew's girlfriend Brittany had her first day of classes in pre-med at the University of Denver yesterday.

So today is the first day that all of my precious bears and their delightful girlfriends are in school, the weather was very cool for the first time yesterday and this morning arrived quite crisp, there are hints of yellow in some trees, and a very few brown leaves are blowing about. The casa teens are meeting here on Wednesday nights again, ladies bible study at church started last week, our neighborhood bible study begins this week, and our last trip of the year to Lake Powell will be here before we know it.

Aunt Cris & Uncle Charlie have just gone to San Diego to move my 93+ year old grandpa from his apartment with Char to their home in Alamogordo while Char's daughter is helping her move into assisted living (she's 80 and has parkinsons). Grandpa & Char are so sad to be leaving each other as they move into this new season in their full lives.

So... today, as Sean heads out the door for the bus, it feels that this is the first real day of "back to school" and the fall season has now officially begun...
